Here you can find the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alexa.com\/siteinfo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alexa Rank<\/a> of your own site.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What factors affect the Alexa Rankings?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are multiple variables that play a role in the Alexa algorithm that I\u2019ve found through my own personal experiments. This include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Traffic from people that use the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alexa.com\/toolbar\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alexa Toolbar<\/a> (which is a horrible estimation of number of site visitors)<\/li><li>Number of page views<\/li><li>Time of site<\/li><li>Bounce Rate and CTR (Click-through-rate)<\/li><li>Quality and Diversity of the views<\/li><li>Number of inbounds links to site (also known as backlinks)<\/li><li>Social Media share, likes, comments count <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why does the Alexa Rank matter?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Alexa Rank is a very important tool for <a href=\"http:\/\/alejandrorioja.com\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">marketers<\/a> as it shows the advertising potential of a site. The lower the rank, the more traffic that the site gets and thus the more people that ads can be served to. Domains with lower Alexa Rank are generally regarded as more valuable than domains with high Alexa Rank. Having a low Alexa Score can increase the CPC that you get through your Ad network. Therefore, increasing the Alexa Rank of your site could prove beneficial for your business. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do Alexa Rankings affect SEO?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s no direct correlation between <a href=\"https:\/\/flux.la\/the-reality-of-seo\/\">SEO<\/a> and Alexa Rank. However, a lower Alexa Rank might imply high amounts of traffic which could be related to having SEO blog posts on the <a href=\"https:\/\/flux.la\/10-seo-tips-worth-thousands\/\">first page of Google<\/a>. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What used to work to boost your Alexa Rank<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>People in the past quickly increased their Alexa Rank by using these methods:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Installing the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alexa.com\/toolbar\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alexa Toolbar<\/a> (on every PC, laptop you can get your hands into)<\/li><li>Posting on your blog frequently (as this taps into the \u201cfreshness\u201d factors that search engines love)<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/flux.la\/how-to-write-seo-articles\/\">Creating unique content that ranks well on Google<\/a><\/li><li>Writing a detailed review of Alexa<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>While these methods will help you get a boost in your Alexa Ranking, they will take time and won\u2019t necessarily affect your score significantly. The section below will show you how to lower your Alexa in just a few days. <br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A simple process to decrease your Alexa Rank <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It wouldn\u2019t be a classic Alejandro post if I didn\u2019t show you a script-based way to solve a problem, would it?<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ok, so here are the simple steps:<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Install the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alexa.com\/toolbar\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alexa Toolbar<\/a> on multiple browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc)<\/li><li>Download your favorite VPN (I like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vpnbook.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">VPNBook<\/a>) and connect to it<\/li><li>Go to <a href=\"http:\/\/sur.ly\/i\/pagereboot.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PageReboot<\/a> on every browser, put your site and set the refresh time every 30 seconds (or longer if you\u2019re patient). <\/li><li>Sit back, relax, read <a href=\"http:\/\/alejandrorioja.com\/blog\/invite-friends-like-page-facebook-script\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">another one of my blog posts<\/a>, and wait for about 15-20 min. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For best results, do this at different times of the day and also change your IP Address every 10 or so minutes.
